IT'S a bad week to be Lara Bingle.
The fledgling reality star has been dropped by her top sponsor ROC
Eyewear, just as the audience of her Channel 10 TV show dropped to a
dangerously low 400,000 people on Tuesday night.
The news come three weeks after the model tweeted a photo of herself in a pair of shades by high-end designer Karen Walker.
As an ambassador for the Aussie label, Bingle was obliged to wear only ROC designs.
Company director Jason Blank yesterday confirmed Bingle was no longer representing them, but maintained the split was mutual.
"After two seasons ROC Eyewear and Lara Bingle have mutually agreed to part ways," Blank said.
A
ROC spokesman said he "was not able to discuss the details of
(Bingle's) contract" when asked about the Twitter picture, later saying
the contract officially finished in April.
The end of the relationship also cancels out Bingle's own sunglass range, which she has been promoting for 12 months.
Bingle furrowed many an Aussie brow when she turned up recently as the face of a New Zealand tourism campaign.
Having lost viewers each week since debuting on June 12, the ratings of Being Lara Bingle on Tuesday night fell to 463,000.
The series will finish next week with a one-hour finale. Confidential thinks it unlikely a second season will go ahead.
"There's always talks about another season but at the moment nothing is confirmed," a Ten spokesman said.
Bingle was not available for comment.
