Queens Park Rangers and Real Madrid have agreed a deal that could see
ex-Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho move to Loftus Road on a
season-long loan.
The 34-year-old former Portugal defender has yet to agree personal terms but talks will take place over the next 48 hours.
On Tuesday, QPR and Spurs agreed a fee of £7.5m for defender Michael Dawson.
Manager Mark Hughes has moved to strengthen his defence after a
5-0 home defeat by Swansea on Saturday.
Neither deal has been confirmed but privately QPR hope both players will be signed before Saturday's trip to Norwich.
The transfer of Dawson, 28, is closer to completion, although he has yet to undergo a medical or sign off on the terms of his proposed contract.
