England striker Carroll joins West Ham on loan from Liverpool

Andy Carroll found himself out in the cold at Liverpool under new manager Brendan Rogers.
England striker Andy Carroll left Liverpool Thursday on a season-long loan deal to English Premier League rivals West Ham United with an option to buy at the end of that period.
Carroll was a club record £35 million ($55.24 million) signing by Liverpool from Newcastle in January 2011, but has not found favor under new manager Brendan Rogers.
Kenny Dalglish signed him as a replacement for Fernando Torres after the Spaniard departed to Chelsea but he has scored only 11 goals in 58 appearances for Liverpool.
